Axis

(2023)

  • Bassoon solo

  • Duration: ca. 7 min.

  • Dedicated to Mikko-Pekka Svala

  • First performed on February 7, 2024, in Turku, Finland, by Mikko-Pekka Svala.

The solo work Axis is a super-condensed version of the double bassoon concerto Axis Mundi (2020). The bassoon and contrabassoon soloistic parts melted together, and the original half-hour concerto squeezed into a small 5-minute package. TR, 2024
