Programme notes
Around 10,000 years ago, somewhere in Finland: Šep is going fishing. The route goes from his hut along a forest path to a nearby lake. He plays a tune he learned from his father on his bone flute. It's called Song to the Fish. Like his ancestors, Šep always plays this tune to bring good luck for fishing and to honour the spirits of the fish and the lake.

Noin 10.000 vuotta sitten jossain päin Suomea: Šep on lähdössä kalaan. Reitti kulkee kodalta metsäpolkua pitkin läheiselle järvelle. Hän soittaa luuhuilullaan sävelmän, jonka oppi isältään. Sen nimi on Laulu kalalle. Esi-isiensä tapaan Šep soittaa aina tätä sävelmää tuomaan kalaonnea mutta myös kunnioittaakseen kalan ja järven henkiä.
