Programme Notes
This work is inspired by a seabird, gliding in the sky. The marine bird is stalking a school of fish and skillfully plunge dives to catch some prey. After a couple of successful attempts, it accidentally dives into an oil spill; no more flying for this unlucky seabird. :: Tomi Räisänen, 2016
Teos on saanut inspiraationsa taivaalla kaartelevasta merilinnusta, joka tiirailee alapuolellaan uivaa kalaparvea ja taidokkaasti syöksysukeltaa nappaamaan saalista. Parin onnistuneen syöksyn jälkeen sukellus osuukin erehdyksessä meressä kelluvaan öljylauttaan; epäonnisen merilinnun viimeinen lento. :: Tomi Räisänen, 2016
